Family Session at Worlds End

Yikes! In the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle here. I am so far behind posting sessions of my wonderful clients. Let’s back in the swing with this awesome family who I can call great new friends. We had a gorgeous day in late September at World’s End, one of my favorite places. Heather had planned for a while of what to wear, a lot of searching for just the right outfits. We had spoken a few times about outfits, this is always one of the biggest questions. Many people think white tops but I convinced Heather to go darker. I think the darker colors are not only flattering but it makes everyone stand out better.

Perfect day, everyone looks great in their navy and khaki. Let’s add 3 year old Madeline, who wasn’t feeling it that day, into the mix and despite that we came out with some keepers.

Holiday 2011 Sessions

Here we go! I will be rolling out 3 different sets this year in my studio. Choice of a barn door style winter scene, a traditional Christmas tree set and a black backdrop for black and whites. Weather permitting there will also be an 4th outside. Full holiday sessions are also avaible for 1 hour and are perfect for a family with 3 or more kids or if you’d like an outfit change or if you’d like to bring your pet.

Tristan is 9 months old!

WARNING this little boy might cause you to want one! Tristan is one of the most happiest little boy I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was such a joy to photograph I lost track of time. We had a great time in the studio then headed out to the yard on a beautiful October day for some more. Tristan has two wonderful parents that are head of heals for this little guy. The three of them make one lovable family! Enjoy-

Liz & Nick tie the knot!

Liz and Nick got married on a beautiful day in late August, very typical to the weather they have in San Diego were they live. My initial meeting was with Liz’s mom and dad who I was instantly fond of. Liz’s mom was so cute at our meeting she needed a few tissues to get through talking about the big day. Liz hosts a program in California, we pulled it up on the web, it was exciting to see her. Liz’s parents are so proud of all her accomplishments. Thankfully I finally got to meet Liz and Nick in person. Despite being exhausted from taking the red eye from California we were able to do a few engagement photos. I could tell their wedding was going to be a very memorable day! So without further ado here are a some favorites from the day!

Liz and Nick decided to do a first look. So Nick is here patiently waiting to see Liz for the first time!I love Liz’s expression here!Off to the lighthouse we went for a few photos before the ceremony. Liz and Nick’s bridal party was so fun they all had such a great time together.This was the ladies idea – those wild woman!

The maid of honor and best man had a great time toasting Liz and Nick. There was a lot of laughter!.

Cape Cod Family Beach Session

Beautiful fun-family+ stunning location+ perfect day=lucky photographer! One spectacular day in late August, I had the pleasure of photographing this family on Cape Cod. Carolyn and I went to high school together. The saying, “the apple doesn’t fall from the tree” fits this family. From Carolyn’s lovely parents, brother and sister-in law to the adorable kids, this family reminds me of how lucky I am do to what I love! Thank you for carving out a few hours out of your vacation for this session. I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did!

This little guy is CJ brand new son to proud parents Mandy and Nick. I had the privilege of photography Mandy and Nicks wedding last year. I think CJ likes the camera as much as his dad. Congratulations Mandy and Nick! CJ is so lucky to have you both as his parents and such a fantastic extended family.

NH summer get away!

Last week my family (sadie our dog of course included) went on a 4 day get away to the White Mountains. We are not sit on the beach read a book all day kind of people. We did some hiking and went to a basin at the bottom of a mountain and found amazing water falls and gorges. It had rained the 2 days before so the water was zipping down the rocks. We also had a blast exploring caves one day.

This is my son in one of his favorite “Life is Good” shirts. He was so excited when we pulled into town and there was a “Life is Good” store right in town. Needless to say he has serveral new additions to add to his collection.Behind the condo we stayed at was an river-way with a swimming hole we all took advantage of. This is Sadie doing one of her most favorite things, swimming in the water.This might look like a nice photo of my son having fun, but it’s not. It’s of him torturing me while we are high up about 8-10 stories on a metal and wooden observation deck. He thinks it’s funny to put his arms over the edge and lean out for a photo!

My 2 favorite guys in this whole world!Chris and I had done zip-lining 2 years ago in Mexico and loved it. So we made sure to sign up for this amazing trip in NH. We did the “Treetop Canopy Tour”. Which was exactly what it says we had 5 zipline courses high up in the trees. We had to climb suspension bridges to get to a few of the decks. It does sound crazy but it was a ton of fun and a huge adrenaline rush!

Kelli and Ryan tie the knot!

Wow! Why doesn’t winter fly by as quickly as summer does? I can’t believe it’s late August! I managed to take 7 days off this past week with my family and are now playing catch up! I’ll blog about our trip later. Now on to Kelli and Ryan who are one of those couples that just make you happy. They are so sweet, warm and fun together you can’t help but smile. I was a fan of Kelli’s right away when she told me she is a nurse. My mom was a nurse and I know what kind of special person you have to be to do that kind of work.

We had a great time at the engagement session on the beach. Then a few months later on to the big day. Those weather people called for rain but it held off for a beautiful day! They got married in Weymouth then off to Granite Links for the reception. I should have known Kelli and Ryan would have equally as nice family and friends as they are. A perfect day all the way around!

Kelli is one of those naturally beautiful girls.I had to put at least one “formal” photo in. The girls looked so pretty! The dresses were gorgeous and the colors just popped!

Kelli has an identical twin sister! Ryan and his mom danced to one of my favorite songs, Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. This is where I could have taken up a lot of space with photos from all the dancing that was done that night. Specifically Ryan and his dad, what dance duo they are!Kelli and Ryan I hope you had a great time in St. Lucia looking forward to working on your album with you!
